INDUSTRY NEWS AND UPDATES

PRIVATE DUTY CONFERENCE AND EXHIBIT

We’re proud to announce that The Senior’s Choice will be prominently represented at the 11th annual Private Duty Conference and Expo this November 13-15 in Orlando, FL. Our very own Steve Everhart has been invited to kick off the conference with his signature presentation: Taking the Pulse of Your Business, while long-time TSC Member Aaron Marcum of Arbor Senior Care in Salt Lake City will wrap-up the conference two days later with his presentation: How to Run a Private Duty Business that Runs Without You.

We hope you’ll attend the conference and get the opportunity to hear Steve and Aaron speak, as well as stop by and visit us in the Exhibit Hall. PD 11 is the leading industry conference and expo and attracts hundreds of private duty owners and decision makers who come to hear industry leaders, innovative thinkers and successful Private Duty owners discourse on specific areas of expertise and offer strategic and tactical advice to help you grow your business.

It’s a terrific conference that everyone should consider attending – especially if you’re an independent business that doesn’t attend any other industry networking events. You can’t grow your business by living in a bubble because after a while you lose perspective and fail to see the “big picture”, which hinders your decision making. Getting out of the office for a few days and disengaging from the day-to-day task of running your business will open your mind to new possibilities: and that’s a good thing.

Steve’s presentation addresses that very issue head-on (seeing the “big picture” of your business), but will emphasize it from a marketing and sales perspective. Conference attendees will also receive our proprietary Private Duty Assessment Tool (PDAT) so they can assess their business’ strengths and weaknesses.

Do you want to assess your business? Then visit our website and fill out the request form. We’ll email it to you right way.

Aaron’s presentation sums up in a nutshell one of the primary benefits of joining The Senior’s Choice: Learning how to make your business run without you. Do you feel like you can’t afford to take a day off – because something important (or dreadful) might happen? Do you run your business around the clock, including most weekends? Have you taken less than 10 days of vacation in the last year – or two years – because you’re afraid to leave your business for any extended period of time? Then you need to hear Aaron’s presentation.

Aaron has taken advantage of the systems, tools, resources and knowledge available to TSC Members and built himself a successful business that effectively runs without him – allowing him to move his family to his dream house where they can spend more quality time together and pursue the outdoor recreational activities they love so much. Aaron’s still very connected to his business - he receives daily updates and holds frequent conference calls with his team members – he just doesn’t have to be there to run the day-to-day stuff, which lets him focus on strategic planning and growth opportunities.

Wouldn’t you like to learn how to build a business like that? Then attend PD 11 this November. Or contact us and speak with Steve. It’s that easy.

TSC MEMBERS WIN MORE AWARDS

TSC Members Stan Lawson and Gabriella Ambrosi are doing something right – or a lot right. For the second year running their business Sequoia Senior Solutions of Petaluma, CA was named “Best Place to Work” in the North Bay by the North Bay Business Journal. Congratulations to them both on this outstanding achievement.

Not to be outdone, Randy and Jerrine Hardin of Abiding HomeCare in Silverdale, WA have been given Pinnacle Consulting's "Best in Class" certification, which should boost their marketing efforts and help them further differentiate themselves from their peers. Pinnacle Consulting conducts customer satisfaction analysis on behalf of nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home health agencies to help businesses improve the way they deliver their services. It’s a great service to look into if you’re not getting enough – or the right – customer feedback.

The Best in Class certification measures the following: 1) Overall Quality of Service, 2) Accessibility of Staff, 3) Communication from Agency, 4) Timeliness of Visits, 5) Response to Problems, 6) Courtesy and Friendliness, and 7) Combined Average.

Randy was so excited upon receiving the certification that he immediately sent his friend Steve Everhart an email: “We couldn't do it without the training, support, and encouragement of you and the staff at The Senior's Choice. Thanks!”
