"On the day of President Barack Obama’s inauguration last month, I’m sure many of you were tuned in to the coverage on TV. It was undoubtedly an exciting time and a monumental time in history. Many of you are hopeful and excited about the future, but several folks I’ve spoken with are also feeling quite a bit of uncertainty about what to expect in the coming year, especially in the midst of war and financial crisis. I heard someone say that when written in Chinese the word “crisis” is composed of two characters: one represents danger and the other represents opportunity. Now I don’t know if this is true, but I do believe that your perspective in times like these is what makes the difference. Are you looking out for danger or are you keeping your eyes open for opportunity? I believe that if you focus on opportunity you will find that more will come your way.
