Steven Everhart
President and Founder

Steve founded The Senior's Choice in 1999, having taken an active interest in the senior care business many years earlier when researching different care options for his grandmother. After discovering first-hand the challenges faced by people seeking information and struggling to find reliable care, he took it upon himself to build an organization of independent senior care companies who would represent what he believed were the essential qualities of in-home care providers; honesty, integrity and a commitment to providing safe and reliable care for their clients, attributes extolled today by every Senior's Choice member.

A self-employed entrepreneur for over twenty five years, Steve has founded and managed several successful companies, building them from the ground floor up. But helping countless others fulfill their self-employment dreams has been and remains his greatest source of joy and personal satisfaction. His leadership, integrity and business marketing skills are hallmarks that have served him well throughout his career and have played a crucial role in helping others achieve success.

Steve is also an owner of Sequoia Senior Solutions, LLC, headquartered in Petaluma, California. Sequoia is the areas largest in-home care provider serving five North Bay counties with annual revenues in excess of $5,000,000 and almost 400 caregivers on staff.

Steve holds a bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Steve is a recognized industry expert who has presented at industry conferences on various issues critical to the growth of private duty companies, including caregiver recruiting and retention and financial and operational benchmarking, and has appeared as a featured guest on CBS television where he discussed fall prevention and in-home safety measures for seniors.

His marketing and sales and finance and accounting skills, extensive senior care industry experience and natural leadership qualities, combined with his abundant enthusiasm, make Steve particularly suited for teaching members advanced marketing strategies and business development.


AnNita Klimecka
Business Coach, Trainer, Special Projects

AnNita's affiliation with The Senior's Choice began in 2001 when, as a partner of a Lodi, CA based home care company, she joined the organization as a member. After 3 successful years of running the business, she accepted an invitation from Steve to become a senior member of the organization in the role of trainer and mentor for Senior Choice members. Using her extensive home care background and knowledge, AnNita is responsible for the development of many of the key tools and resources used by members today, including the Employee Handbook and the Certified Companion Aide® training program.

AnNita attends every training and teaches members how to utilize the many TSC resources and systems available to them, including proper usage of the Operations Systems Manual, which she has spent much time developing and perfecting. She is constantly at work, whether providing weekly business coaching, developing new marketing tools and resources, choreographing Next Level training classes, or just providing inspiration and encouragement to TSC's many members.

Her passion and enthusiasm for the business, combined with her exuberant and outgoing personality, make her ideally suited for her role in helping members of all levels to continually advance their business goals.



Peter Droubay
Chief Trainer

Peter was one of the first people to join Steve on his mission to develop a membership organization of the highest caliber, with the skills and education to become successful home care owners and operators - no matter how crowded the playing field might be for them. With his background as a highly sought-after professional sales trainer and nearly 10 years of home care experience-Peter brings a unique dimension to the training process.

In a business known for its soft sell approach, Peter's ability to teach members professional sales skills; from understanding the psychology of the sales process and creating a coherent sales plan, to learning how to work more effectively and overcoming objections, give members the structure and confidence they need to execute their business plans, generate revenue and build long lasting referral relationships.

Peter's sales training and coaching are one of the key reasons why Senior's Choice members get out of the gate faster than their peers and why existing private duty owners realize immediate gains in their businesses - helping them reach the next level.



Nona Everhart
Chief Financial Officer

When Nona decided to help Steve create a great senior care membership organization, she knew her accounting and administrative skills and training were going to be tested as never before. It was one thing to keep up with Steve's internal motor, which never seems to run out of gas, but it was quite another thing to help lay the financial blue prints for getting the company off the ground and moving it forward through its continuous growth.

Nona's expertise is highly sought after by members seeking assistance with all things accounting, including; setting up their business's accounting systems, utilizing QuickBooks and eRSP scheduling software, and in establishing effective billing procedures, amongst a host of other things.



Lindsey Starr
Membership Coordinator

Lindsey is in the thick of everything that happens at The Senior's Choice and is one of the organization's most visible faces. When she's not sending out weekly announcements from "corporate", collecting and organizing survey information from the members, or posting information to the download board, she's organizing the next training event and fielding members' requests for information. She also has the pleasure of managing Steve's busy schedule. Lindsey's knowledge of TSC's vast library of manuals, training tools, systems and resources make her invaluable to membership and ensure she never experiences any downtime during her work week!



Oliver Harlow
Marketing & Communications

Oliver joined The Senior's Choice in January 2007, bringing over 13 years of business experience and four years of senior care industry experience with him. As the former Director of Membership Services for Companion Connection Senior Care, a senior care organization based in New York City, he is well versed in all aspects of the home care industry and brings a wealth of knowledge to The Senior's Choice.

Among his many responsibilities, Oliver works closely with Everhart and the rest of The Senior's Choice team to expand The Senior's Choice membership and to develop relationships with outside partners who can introduce new ways for its members to increase referrals and generate new revenue streams for their businesses.
